Hundreds of concerned community workers, clients, employers and representatives of peak bodies gathered in central Melbourne on Sunday 13 April to officially launch the union’s ‘Respect the Workers! Sustain the Services!’ campaign. Members at the launch said that the time for change is now! Victoria faces a collapse in services for its poorest, most disadvantaged and vulnerable citizens unless the state government makes an urgent and substantial investment in the community services sector.
