Survey to assist new Powercor / Citipower EBA print page

TO ALL ASU MEMBERS AT POWERCOR / CITIPOWER

NEW POWERCOR / CITIPOWER EBA

Complete the survey here

As members may be aware, the current EBA’s ‘expire’ for re-negotiation purposes on 31 December 2010.  The ASU has contacted Management recently and they have agreed to start negotiating in early October.

However, under the new Fair Work Act 2009, before bargaining can begin, the employer is obligated by law to distribute to all employees a Notice of Employee Representational Rights.  This invites employees to participate in the bargaining and must sit with employees for 14 days before bargaining can begin.

The ASU as your Union, under the Act, is an automatic Bargaining Representative.  To assist the ASU to form its Log of Claim to serve on the employer, we ask you to participate in the Survey, which gives members and potential members input into the bargaining process.

In order to participate, click this link  or the link above which will take you to the Survey on ‘Survey Monkey’.  When finished just press submit.

The Survey will close on 4 October 2010 and then the ASU will collate the responses.

If you are not currently a member of the ASU, there is no better time to join than now as we prepare to negotiate your wages and conditions for the next 3 or more years.  Download our membership form or ring the ASU Contact Centre on  1300 855 570  1300 855 570 or ASU Reception on 9342 3400 for more information.  Please download a copy for your workmates and place on work notice boards.

Further news briefs will update members on major developments.
